Our HEPA filter captures sub-micron mist, smoke, and bacteria. As a result, efficiency reaches the standard of 95% at 0.3 micron with the option of 99.9% at 0.3 microns.
Aeroex HEPA filters are made exclusively for oil mist with heavy duty micro-glass media in the oil mist separator.
No competitor product holds as much oil or lasts as long. The typical life of our oil mist separator is 2 – 4 years.
Particles come in different sizes and not all filters are designed to capture them all—especially the smallest particles. HEPA filters have among the highest MERV ratings of all the filters on the market. MERV stands for “minimum efficiency reporting value,” and this refers to how effectively a filter is able to trap very small particles. Not all filters are designed for difficult applications but the HEPA filter is. The only filter equipped to filter out the smallest particles (and to do so effectively) is the HEPA filter. HEPA filters are engineered in such a way that they can trap particles that are as small as 0.3 microns in size.
What does the term HEPA mean? An acronym for “High Efficiency Particulate Air” or “High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance”.
This acronym refers to a filter that is manufactured, tested and certified to meet Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST) construction, performance and certification standards as currently published in IEST RP-CC001.4.
